It is now that time of year that every kid dreads; September. It means that it is time to go back to school. Everything seems normal. The kids get on the Hogwarts Express and go away to Hogwarts. There, they are all ushered into the Great Hall like every other time that they had been here. They see old friends and catch up, all while waiting for Headmaster Potter to step up and speak.
When he does, the hall falls silent. He gives his annual speech, and the sorting begins. After the last name is called, there is some chatter, all which is hushed by the Headmaster's voice settling upon everyone's ears. For the first years, this is the first time that they had heard the rules of the school; they sit, looking rather wide eyed at the Headmaster, trying to take everything in. The older students have heard the same rules over and over again; they sit in their seats, whispering and waiting. Finally it is time to eat, and everybody digs in.
For the most part, the rest of the month goes smooth. Quidditch starts, to many student's enjoyment. No matches yet, however. The air begins getting cool and crisp toward the end of the month. Little do most students know, the Dark Avengers are gaining more followers. Headmaster Potter feels that something is going on; he rounds up a few of his favorite students and asks them to keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. Maybe it was just him, but those Slytherins looked extra shady this year.
